The key responsibilities of this position include the following :
You will purchase inventories and non-inventories items and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services according to company policies and procedures and in a cost effective manner to support the plant activities.
You will source and build professional relationship with suppliers to manage quotations, price negotiations, credit terms and lead time.
You will ensure purchase request and purchase order submitted is duly approved and documented.
You will monitor and expedite on delivery of supplies and quality of purchases.
You will review open purchase orders and purchase orders past due on a daily and weekly basis and perform appropriate actions to follow up and close the purchase orders.
You will actively seek material saving opportunity to reduce purchase costs and contribute to material cost out targets.
You will prepare weekly and monthly reports for management reviews.
The requirements for this position are :
* Demonstrated competencies and a good track record in procurement experience and good knowledge of suppliers base.
* Possess excellent negotiation skills.
* Possess the ability to communicate well with both local and international colleagues and suppliers. Ability to speak and write reasonably good English.
* Proficient with Basic Microsoft Excel, Words, Power Point, etc.
* Possess working experience with MRP/ERP system.
* Possess positive mindset and ability to work independently with minimum supervision and a good team player.
* Possess ability to work under pressure and demonstrate ethical behaviors and practices.
