Reports to:Regional Project Manager Riau/Jambi/North Sumatra

Jub Summary:
Provincial CSR Specialist is a mid-level position based in Riau, Jambi or North Sumatra.  The Provincial CSR Specialist conducts monitoring and evaluation of CSR activities of RGE business groups in the region, provides technical support to program teams in Jakarta and the field in the execution of monitoring and evaluation systems and processes. He/she provides technical assistance for field teams and assists in analysis and follow-on recommendations to influence project activities, as well as future program development.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
    Support in the design and development of monitoring and evaluation systems and impact evaluation of CD/CSR activities of the business group in the field. The design will include standardizing indicators by sectors and developing standard questionnaires.
    Provide technical assistance in implementation of monitoring and evaluationactivities (baselines, mid-term reviews, report preparation, etc.), including to ensure the appropriate indicators, questions and methodology.
    Provide technical assistance to project staff on how to use and maximize use of M&Esystems within projects. And work with them to organize, summarize and utilize data and data findings (including visualization and reporting of project findings).
    Together with Regional Project Manager, National CSR Specialist and M&E Coordinator, develop systematic, coherent and updated database that allows monitoring of regional impact.
    Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual provincial reports to Regional Project Manager and National CSR Specialist.
    Assist in the dissemination of information and project data.
    Implement trainings/ workshops series to build the capacity of project staff to better monitor and evaluate their projects, and to make better use of project information. Provide advice on the use of M&E related software and hardware in the field.
    Conduct or participate in special studies upon request.
    Support the preparation of proposals and other program development activities byproviding quantitative data from projects as required.

Contacts/Key Relationships:
Regional Project Manager, National CSR Specialist, Project Officers, CD/CSR Department staff in business groups and field staff.

Requirements:
    Qualifacations:
        Relevant university degree in social sciences
        At least 3 years experience in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems in Indonesia
        Previous experience in assessment and evaluation of development actions
        Experience in designing, developing and maintaining database
        Experience in training and mentoring
        Ability to work independently in challenging working environment
        Excellent communication and report writing skills, English desired
        Computer literate.
         
    Working Conditions:
    The position is based in the fields of Riau, Jambi and North Sumatera. Theposition holder needs to be able to work in challenging environments, often with basicamenities.
