Drydocks World facilities operate in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. In Southeast Asia, Drydocks World unites leading expertise at the world’s crossroads of busiest shipping lanes, and close proximity to major offshore oil and gas field developments in Singapore and Batam Island, Indonesia. Diverse marine activities are focused in 4 shipyards, namely: Singapore, Graha, Nanindah and Pertama. Collectively these encompass 29 building berths, 8 floating docks, and a specialised rig building yard.

The right candidates for our yards must be able to develop and support an excellent safety culture and possess a sound knowledge of shipyard practices. They should also have practical experience in the rig building, shipbuilding or ship repair sectors, having held relevant positions in the marine or offshore industry. Purchasing Manager
(Batam - Kepulauan Riau)

Responsibilities:
    * Manage the Purchasing Team in order to met business objectives
    * Obtain quotations from the most suitable sources at the best prices
    * Ensure all project requirements with regards to materials purchased and delivery are met
    * Manage suppliers and review suppliers' performance
    * Review contracts and resolve purchasing issues
    * Ensure purchasing budgets and controls are adhered to
    * Uphold and maintain the integrity of the supplier selection process
    * Coordinate with other Purchasing Managers to ensure optimization of global procurement
    * Liaise with all internal departments and project teams, as well as with external parties

Requirements:
    * Degree/Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Purchasing or Logistics
    * Minimun 5 years proven record in purchasing in the Offshore and Marine Industry, preferably in a managerial role
    * Strong leadership skills and an effective communicator in a global business enviroment
    * Willing to work in Batam and able to travel
