Casting Manager
(Batam - Kepulauan Riau)
Responsibilities:
* Major Responsibilties / Position Purpose:
o The primary function of this position is understand related to the design, processing, development of raw and machined Ductile Iron and Aluminum Castings for Butterfly valve applications
* Additional / Specific Responsibilities to Include:
o Can draw the casting and understand the casting after machining process
o Determining best processes for specific part families / applications
o Determining best Design incl. DFMA (Design for Mfg.) practices
o Determination and documentation of tools relating to Castings including:
o Cost Modeling
o Supplier benchmarking
o Supports Castings product improvement and cost reduction initiatives working closely with Product/Processes/ Manufacturing Engineers, Designers, and Suppliers
o Hosts Design and Process reviews with Suppliers on site and off site. Travels to Suppliers when necessary
Requirements:
* Required Education, Experience, and Competencies:
o Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Material Sciences
o Minimum 5 years Engineering / Manufacturing company work experience including at least 2 years with Products that include Castings
o Proficiency in basic computer applications / use including presentation, word processing, spreadsheet, program management, etc. software
o Good written and oral communication in English and presentation skills
o Experience as member of team / ability to promote teamwork
o Ability to convince and compromise with others cross-functionally
* Preferred / Additional Education, Experience, and Competencies :
o Detailed knowledge of / hands-on experience in Ductile Iron and Aluminum Casting Product, Process Design, Tooling, Manufacturing
o Experience at Casting company / in Foundries
o Experience with / knowledge of Material Specification for Castings
o Strong problem solving skills
o Strong project Management Skills
